The Channel Islands Restoration (CIR) has long followed a practice of not selling, renting, trading, or otherwise disclosing donor, volunteer, or site visitor information to any outside party. This is a longstanding practice and official policy of CIR. All information is volunteered by CIR’s visitors through signing up to receive updates via events, mail, electronic mail or making an online donation. The visitor voluntarily submits his or her full name and email address to CIR.
The individual will receive CIR’s regular communications as selected and detailed on the online sign-up form. All credit card and personal profile information provided to CIR through its Internet software partner, SquareSpace, is transmitted using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption using PayPal as a payment gateway. SSL is a proven coding system that allows a browser to automatically encrypt, or scramble, data before it is sent. If you would like to review your personal information that is collected and/or request corrections, please contact us.
Children should always be supervised while online. CIR does not intend to collect personal information from children under the age of 13. So that we may comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, we ask that children under the age of 13 not provide any personal information on this website.
The Use of “Cookies” on CIR’s Website

This information includes pages viewed, date and time of visit, browser type, and geographic region. The Channel Islands Restoration does not make any association between this information and the visitor’s identity. This anonymous data is used specifically to assess the effectiveness of CIR’s website.
