The Channel Islands Fox (Urocyon littoralis) plays a crucial role in maintaining stability on the Channel Islands. Without the island fox, ripples are felt throughout the plant and animal communities on the islands, leading to an imbalance in populations that can lead to a total collapse of an island’s ecosystem. The Island Fox Club represents CIR’s top donors who serve as the foundation for our restoration and conservation work. Island Fox Club members give $1,000 or more annually to our efforts to increase habitat restoration through invasive species removal, native plant installation, and native plant propagation. Island Fox Club members are significant and make a difference in protecting all eight of the Channel Islands off the coast of California.
