This Exclusive Event is Only Available to Island Fox Members!

We want to get you up to Figueroa Mountain before the wildflowers fade, since dozens of species are blooming. Please join us if you can make it next Monday!

As a special thank you to our most generous donors, we invite you to a free special wildflower event exclusively for CIR Island Fox members. Experience the breathtaking beauty of Figueroa Mountain’s spring wildflower display and a day of exploration.

Sky lupine (Lupinus nanus), and tufted poppy (Eschscholzia caespitosa) at Figueroa Mountain

Pardon the last-minute notice, but Figueroa Mountain is still in an outstanding peak bloom, and we don't want you to miss it! Because of copious early rains followed by hot weather, the poppies and lupins are exploding with color, which will at least partly go away if we wait any longer to organize our trip.

Currently, Figueroa Mountain is bursting with vibrant blooms, offering a spectacular show of nature’s artistry. After years of drought, the slopes are alive with color, and as Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “Earth laughs in flowers.” From the iconic orange poppies blanketing Grass Mountain to lupines, chocolate lilies, mariposa lilies, and more, this celebrated wildflower destination is a must-see for nature enthusiasts.
