San Marcos Foothills Nature Preserve is a gem of a local urban park with rural setting in the foothills of Santa Barbara. This multi-use location is enjoyed by trail runners and hikers alike, and the views are spectacular.
Join Channel Islands Restoration and REI on September 30th - National Public Lands Day - from 9 am to 12 pm for a morning stewardship trail restoration project. Volunteers are required to wear long pants, long sleeved shirts and closed-toe shoes; other items to bring include hat, sturdy work gloves, sunscreen, water bottle and snacks. Open to all ages, children younger than 18 years of age must be accompanied by their parent/guardian, and all volunteers must have current health insurance coverage. Work project location off Antone Road.
Volunteers for this event will receive a free REI 2017 Steward t-shirt!
