Sign Up For Your Docent Program Shift!

Please read the following instructions carefully before you sign up for your desired time.

✔ Have you completed your preliminary three-part module docent training?
Once that is complete, you are eligible to sign up for a shift. For questions, contact docent@cirweb.org

Before you sign up for your docent shift, first check our docent calendar below.
If indicated, please try to schedule your shift time when another docent is on the Preserve.

You are volunteering to help with a very important environmental education project in a very special place. In recent years, increasing numbers of people have started visiting the San Marcos Foothills, but there is little understanding that this is a nature preserve meant to protect wildlife. Wildlife the world over are being driven to extinction, and this is also
happening in the Santa Barbara/Goleta area. As docents, we have an opportunity to reverse that trend.
