Camping and Tamarisk Eradication

Join Channel Islands Restoration for a car camping adventure. We will be hosting a family-friendly 3-day campout at Piru Creek above Lake Piru. This is an excellent opportunity to spend time outdoors and learn more about the local plants and animals. We will be eradicating invasive tamarisk from the watershed above Lake Piru and leading guided walks with experts in the field (bi-lingual programs will be available). If you want to learn more about camping, this trip is the perfect opportunity to learn how. We will be camping in an area normally closed to public access. We welcome new campers or experienced and seasoned adventurers. Feel free to drop in for the day, spend a night or two under the stars. We look forward to seeing you soon!
